Terms of Use — Anima PlayDEX

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern the use of the Anima PlayDEX application, developed and maintained by AnimaLabs. By downloading, installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. About the app

Anima PlayDEX is an entertainment application that lets you scan and register Animas into a digital collection ("Dex"), take care of a virtual pet, play minigames (including online matches between users) and make optional in-app purchases.

2. License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use Anima PlayDEX on devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial purposes, in accordance with these Terms and the rules of the corresponding app store (App Store or Google Play).

You may not: copy, modify, distribute, sell or rent any part of the app; reverse-engineer or attempt to extract its source code; or use the app in violation of applicable laws.

3. Intellectual property

All app content — including the brand, logo, artwork, characters, interface, sounds and software — belongs to AnimaLabs or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer to you any ownership rights over the app or its content.

4. User content (photos and cutouts)

The app lets you capture photos with your device camera or import images from your gallery to create records and cutouts in your Dex.

• Captured or imported images remain stored locally on your device (and in backups you create yourself). They are not uploaded to our servers.
• You represent that you hold the rights to the images you capture or import, and you are solely responsible for them.
• You may not use the app to create, store or share content that is illegal, offensive or infringes third-party rights.

5. In-app purchases

Anima PlayDEX offers optional one-time purchases (not subscriptions), such as ad removal and unlocking advanced features.

• Purchases are processed exclusively by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google), depending on your platform, and are subject to those stores' terms and refund policies.
• Purchases are tied to your store account and can be restored on new devices through the app's "Restore purchases" feature.
• Prices may vary by region and change at any time, without affecting purchases already made.

6. Online minigames and conduct

Some minigames allow online matches between users (by invitation). By participating, you agree to behave respectfully and not to use cheats, automation or any method to gain unfair advantage or harm other users' experience.

Online features depend on third-party services (such as Game Center and Google Play Games) and on connectivity — availability is not guaranteed.

7. Ads and third-party services

The app displays ads through Google AdMob and integrates third-party services (such as Game Center, Google Play Games and cloud services for optional backups). Use of those services is subject to their providers' terms and privacy policies.

8. Backups and data loss

Your Dex, records and settings are stored locally on your device. The app provides backup and restore tools (local and via cloud services you connect), which you use at your own responsibility.

We recommend creating backups regularly. AnimaLabs is not responsible for data loss resulting from uninstalling the app, device replacement or failure, or absence of a backup.

9. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the app will run uninterrupted or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AnimaLabs shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the app. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits consumer rights that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

10. Updates and termination

We may update, modify, suspend or discontinue the app (or parts of it, such as online features) at any time. We may also terminate your license in case of violation of these Terms.

11. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the update date shown at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
